last wednesday night which is 23/01/08 i called up the police to put my maid under custody for abusing my baby.... my hubby and i were both busy doing some spring cleaning and clearing up the store room. It was about 09:30pm to 09:35pm when i instructed the maid to change and tuck my baby to bed and suddenly my son screamed and cried very loudly. My hubby rushed in to the bedroom and saw the maid standing at one corner and baby crying. Immediately he check on the baby and notice a long deep scratch on his back (along the spine). We questioned the maid but she initially denied everything saying that "your son is so active". Later part when we told her that we will be pressing charges against her for child abusing then she quickly changed her statement saying that my son hurt himself with a plastic hairclip of mine. What kinda logic is that? How can a 17months old baby be able to leave a 4 inches long deep scratch on his back??? We tried giving her benefit of doubts but no way to accept her explanation hence decided to report the case. About 30 mins later 2 policemen, 1 malay and 1 chinese arrived at my house and start to take our statements and access the wound of my baby. Photographs were taken also for future references. Thereafter, they advised that baby must be send in for doctor's examination and pass the case over to another investigator. At that moment, my mind is in a total blank worrying about the baby and thinking of housing the maid somewhere else till the agency is open on the following day. Luckily, the investigator added that: if this is really done by the maid then she's not in the right state of mind" do u wanna put her under custody? We replied yes and drive her to the police station for custody and rushed down to KK after that. It was 01:00am when we arrived at KK and waited about 1 hour plus. No verdict was given by the doctor and they claimed that this is only abrasion and it will heal by itself. I mean obviously i know it's abrasion but the reason that i am here is to heal your advise whether this kinda wound is man made or can it be done by the baby himself? sigh!!! As usual, nothing was confirmed and they will submit their report to the investigator within 1 week. It was already 03:30am when we reached home from KK and i must really thanks my mummy for coming over to helpout during the whole incident, without her i will have difficulty handling the maid while my hubby drove her to the police station. (anything can happens when one is not in the right state of mind) Everything wrapped up and that bitch was returned to her agency pending for further investigation and my headache now is i can't apply for new maid till the case is closed. CNY coming, house need to be clean and baby need someone to take care of. sigh sigh sigh.......
